On offer is a highly attractive Wisden 1903 rebind.

This book came to me "in pieces", and has been newly and lovingly rebound in high-quality brown buckram.  I've created a unique stylish dustwrapper to go around the book, this is in exact facsimile to the original paperback covers.  Although not necessary because of the dustwrapper, it is worth noting that there are no gilt titles on the book spine underneath, due to the fact I don't have the equipment, but any bookbinder can easily add these at a later date for you, if you wish.

There are no covers (it gets better - read on) but the original adverts are present both front and back.  The first advert page (Piggott/Deards) is a facsimile, which has been carefully made on colourmatched paper and blends in perfectly.  I've made special endpapers for this binding, which are exact facsimiles of the original 1903 Hardback.  The result has a really nice look and is as close to a £1000+ hardback as you can get - see the photographs.

The only real issue with this book is the photoplate.  It was initially missing so a facsimile photoplate has been made. The tissue paper attached to the plate is wholly original.  The facsimile is an actual real photograph on colourmatched card, having been printed from a scanned original.  It blends in perfectly and again looks very attractive - please see the photo attached.

The internal pages are in very good condition.  There is slight loss to the top corner of the "William Curtis" advert, but nothing drastic - see photo.  The book is nice and square and hasn't been trimmed at all.

Overall, a good (if slightly unusual) copy for a rare and very hard-to-find year, and now at under £70 I think this is priced very cheaply
for a 1903.  1903 is highly sought-after because of the 1902 Ashes series  and Trumper's photograph.  The facsimile plate doesn't detract at all from the appearance of this Wisden, and it deserves to be cherished just as much as a 100% original.
This Wisden has been part of my collection for quite some time (I've now upgraded mine) - I'm going to be quite sad to part with it!

As a special bonus to the purchaser, if he/she would like other Wisdens rebound in a similar style, or have dustwrappers made for rebinds to get that nice shelf of yellow, I'd be happy to help out and costs etc can be discussed upon request.

Content-wise, 1903 is always one of everyone's favourite Wisdens. 1903 is much sought-after for several reasons:

1) 1902 was one of the most famous home Ashes series ever played.  Victor Trumper dazzled everyone again with his majesty. The epitome of the Golden Age of cricket.

2) Australia were bowled out for 23 and 36.  Therefore this book must be on the shelf of every self-respecting England follower :-)

3) There are two Ashes series covered in the 1903 edition, England toured Australia in 1901-02 and full reports are included inside.

4) A full list of WG Grace's centuries.

5) The LBW law was debated by the Second Class Counties, very interesting reading.

So, a book you'll thoroughly enjoy reading!
Any other questions, please do ask.

Postage is Second Class Recorded mail to keep the cost down.  Basic rate is £3.99, around cost price.  Other postage options are available too, just ask after purchase.  Overseas shipping will be more expensive, ask first (airmail to USA for books is ridiculously expensive, about £8-10)
