Wisden Year: 1915
Overall Condition: 7
DESCRIPTION

This 1915 Wisden is entirely unrestored and is in it's original wrappers.

The front and rear wrappers are basically in very good, bright, unmarked condition, but, as can be seen from the photograph, there is a tear to the top left of the front wrapper.

The spine is complete but has worn a little to the top and bottom of the spine.

Internally, the book is complete, original, unmarked and in really nice condition.

1915 is a difficult year to find in original state and overall, despite the tear and wear to the spine, this is still a very good copy.

Q: Hi, Is the tear on the front cover repairable, with something like double-sided tape? I am interested in the book for reading, not just as a collectors' piece, so is the spine strong enough for this? Thanks, Neil Dickinson  posted by: NeilD  06/08/2019 16:42:44
A: Hello Neil, Many thanks for your interest. In my opinion and in common with virtually all unrestored softback Wisden of this vintage I doubt whether the book would stand up very well to the stresses and strains of being read to any great degree. If you want to actually read the book without fear of damaging it you'd be better off with either a decent rebind or one in properly fitted facsimile wrappers. All the best, Andrew Cullimore - Bosunbooks
