Description
Internally this an immaculate 1965 with bright pages, clean page block and not a mark or dog ear in sight. The front board is a little spotty towards the bottom as you can see but the hinges are strong, gilt is perfect as is the spine. The only element that keep this to just Very Good is the slight fading and spotting of the DJ in places which also carries some minor nics at the top as shown. A strong 8/10 for a hard to find book in this condition. We are in the process of adding over 400 post-war Wisden s into our shop so if you don t see what you need, please contact us as 90% of our editions are VGC or better and there are multiple editions per year to choose from. Postage: We use Royal Mail to ship all orders. Individual volumes are packaged in a padded Jiffy bag while multiple volumes are individually bubble wrapped and boxed to ensure they arrive with you in the condition they left us! We will always combine postage where possible. Quality: We take pride in our product listings and take time to provide an individual description of each edition. If you are in any way dissatisfied when you receive your purchase from us we will happily swap the item for another from the shop or provide a full refund. Descriptions: We started the Badger Sett because in compiling my own collection, one of the hardest things I found to navigate were the various descriptions used by sellers. I found that their interpretations of what constitutes a Wisden in Very Good Condition (VGC) for example were different to mine and so to give you confidence in our honest descriptions, here is a short overview of what you should expect: Mint condition: You will find very few of these listed on our page as by definition they are harder to source. If listed as Mint you can expect a pristine copy either still in the original cellophane or if not, with no imperfections or fading and 'as new' - a 10/10. Excellent: These are all 9/10 and will have very minor imperfections such as slight ruffling to one area of the dust jacket or slight fading to the dust jacket that you would expect to find for its age. Very Good: The majority of our stock is in VGC or better and will still be an excellent addition to your collection but may have a crease to the dust jacket and some ruffling or fading may be evident. In the case of pre-1993 volumes (the year they started to laminate dust jackets) there may be signs of age related wear on the dust jacket and / or some very minor nicks or small tears. Good: Typically used when there are age related issues such as grubby dust jackets, browning of the page block, slight foxing or fading of the gilt. Good editions from the 70's and older may have creases to the spine that will be highlighted in the listing and shown in photos so you can make an informed decision. Viewing: If you live locally or are visiting Somerset then please contact us and we will arrange a viewing slot here at the Badger Sett for you to hand-pick the volumes of your choice - our postcode is BA6 9SW.
