Hi,
This lot is an Original 1865 Wisden Paperback with facsimile spine,
The Second Edition. This is a very scarce Wisden and complete.
In Good+ condition, for the year. When I purchased this from Christies a few years back (since then it has been in my own collection until today) the spine was classed as rebacked. Looking at the spine it looks like it is original so I think what has happened is that the paper has been removed, the spine strengthened and then the paper reapplied. A nice spine but some work has happenend. The covers are a touch dark with some rounding of corners , this rounding goes into the book. Internally very nice, there ar esom eneat annotations , the only thing about this book is that it is quite small , nothing sinister just how Wisden guillotined them those days. Tightly bound and a very hard year to find in complete form.
