Hi,

The thin WW2 hardbacks are always tricky to find, getting back to '46 isn't too tricky and the majority of sets you see come to market start at '46, the collectors first big challenge is to get complete back to the rare 1941. Here is a set from 1941 through to 1945, all Original hardbacks. 

This set will help any collector that wants to cover that gap, and one that wants to cover it with the best condition books that they can, most of these books are hard to beat and they have the added bonus that they are a bit cheaper as buying 5 at once. If purchased individually you'd probably be spending over 3k on similar books. 

This set is in Superb condition. The books have been chosen to be similar, all are the best that I have here , the 1941 to 1944 have very good spine gilt which is very rare to fine on WW2 Hardbacks, the 1945 has a touch if dulling (but that is offset as it is wonderful elsewhere). The 1943 has a tiny skew and thin line mark to spine, the 1941 has a couple of small marks to the front board but overall a super set that any collector would be proud of.
